A small group of St. Paul's members participated in a docent-led tour of Sacramento Historic City Cemetery on All Saints Day visiting the graves of prominent families in both the city's and St. Paul's history.
Photos show the group visiting the Haymond family mausoleum and the cemetery chapel.
Creed Haymond (1836-1893) was a two-term California State Senator and a Colonel in the National Guard of California. He gave the St. Cecilia window at St. Paul's in memory of his wife, Cornelia Alice Haymond, who died in childbirth at the age of 32. Cornelia was an organist at St. Paul's, and St. Cecilia is the patroness of musicians.
Creed's and Cornelia's crypt plates, along with those of other family members, can be seen in the photo of the inside of the crypt.
Rev. Rik led a short memorial service in the cemetery chapel following the tour.
